Lake Erie provides some of the most beautiful sunsets on earth, this one visible from the Bemus Point bridge on Route 86.
Walking the town is a visual delight.
Restaurants, shopping, ice cream, Lawson Marine Museum and golf are a walk away.
Beaches at Presque Isle on Lake Erie, Allegheny State Park, historic Jamestown, zip-lining at Peek’n Peak, hot air balloons in Ashville and climbing Panama Rocks in nearby Olean, are a hop, skip & jump away. There are several wineries and local brewhouses, if you are so inclined.
Niagara Falls, museums and nightlife in Buffalo, Watkins Glen, the Erie Canal & Locks and the Finger Lakes can all be reached in a few hours or less.
Bring your snowmobile and enjoy local nowmobile trails from your doorstep and skiing nearby Peek’n Peak in Clymer. A favorite ice fishing spot is within view of cottage when the lake freezes over.
