Lakes are naturally humid areas encouraging a variety of wild flora and fauna to produce pollens. We cannot stop or eliminate allergens but we make our best effort to mitigate the worst offenders.
There is new carpeting throughout (Good/bad, put in before we bought it) but an IQ AirFilter runs year-round and a vacuum with HEPA filter available to cleaning crew and guests. We hope that the spare uncluttered décor discourages dust.
Mold remediation was performed in 2015. Dehumidifiers are activated when the weather warms and moisture absorbers are changed regularly.
NO SMOKING is permitted in the house.
A separate gluten-free toaster and cutting board are available.
Wegman’s supermarket in Lakewood (about 7 miles away) has a large section of organic and allergen-alternative foods. In Erie (30 miles) you’ll find Whole Foods Co-op (not to be confused with Whole Foods Market chain) with alt-foods, herbs, recycled, organic, fair trade.
